Privacy
We collect as little as we can.
Visitors
To count visits and advert impressions we create a temporary identifier from your IP address and browser user agent, scrambled with a secret key that changes every day. We never store your IP address, we do not use advertising cookies, and the identifier cannot be linked across days. Known bots and automated tools are excluded from the counts.
YouTube adverts use YouTube's privacy-enhanced embedded player (youtube-nocookie.com). Once you play a video, YouTube's own privacy policy applies.
Analytics and advertising measurement
We use Umami, a privacy-focused analytics service that does not use cookies, to understand which pages are visited.
We use Meta's Conversions API to measure our own advertising on Facebook and Instagram. This runs on our server, not in your browser: there is no Meta pixel and no Meta cookie on this site. When you visit, we send Meta the page address, your IP address and browser type, and a scrambled visitor code. If you arrived by clicking one of our Meta ads, we also send the click reference Meta added to the link, which we keep in your browser for seven days. When you book, we also send a one-way hashed (scrambled) copy of your email address and the amount paid, so Meta can tell whether its ads led to a booking. Meta processes this under its own privacy policy.
Advertisers
When you book we store your advert, your email address (collected by Stripe at checkout) and the payment reference. Card details are handled by Stripe and never reach our servers. We use your email to send booking updates and your results. We keep booking records for as long as we need them for accounting and legal purposes.
Cookies
We use a small number of essential cookies: one to hold your date while you are in checkout, and one for our own admin sign-in. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. The Meta click reference mentioned above is kept in your browser's local storage, not in a cookie.
